The Queen Line Up

I manged to sneak in a post right before the holidays. I'm about to head out of town for a few days and relax and enjoy the much needed break. 

I wanted to really show off this stole from SEUL as I've found it difficult to find reasonable priced stoles in the past. These are being featured as part of an outfit at Tres Chic. They come in six different colours and are a must-have. As well, all the dresses I'm wearing in the picture as also from this month's round of Tres Chic. I'm really thrilled about the items up for sale this month, as there are a lot of really cute pieces.

Among the Deer

Tres Chic will open today (Dec. 17th) and there are so many great things to get. I am showing off three different items available at this month's round. The first is from Beusy, called Patter. This hair is adorable and I love that it's pulled back on one side. I dressed in RINKA's new released called Mareva shirt & gilet. These come in tons of colours and are adorable for that winter wardrobe. Paired it up with these socks from Izzie's that are a steal at only 99$L.

Tied Up In Lights

I can't believe we're already 9 days away from Christmas Day (at least on my side of the world). The time seems to be flying by, and with that tons of new releases available on the grid. I am showing a few of the newest goodies available at Tres Chic, like this pose bench from WetCat. It has tons and tons of poses available for couples. It also comes with a texture change menu. The brand new round of Tres Chic will open Dec. 17th! Make sure you go check it out because it promises to be another fantastic round!

I am also loving this new outfit from Evani. The sweaters and jeans are available in different colours and  are meant for Lara and Slink as well as standard sizes. I paired the outfit with the newest release from Fri.day... the Jessica boots are super cute and editable, so they'll fit perfectly with whatever pants you're wearing.

It's a puppy-filled Christmas

I've been seeing some really amazing photos of DaD Design's new gazebo that'll be available at the new round of LTD: The Event. This gazebo comes with a few different options including a snow covered with Christmas lights version.

Did everyone else have a blast with Dec.'s The Arcade round? One of my favorites is the O.M.E.N puppies.

I am wearing the updated Chloe head from LOGO. It comes with three sets of expressions, as well as countless other updates. Both Alex & Chloe are available at the mainstore to demo.

I am so so excited about all the winter/x-mas deco on the grid right now. There are tons of cute buys available at different events. I stopped by the 2015 RFL Christmas Expo and there were tons of great finds. I decided to show off this tree (behind us) from Botanica. It comes with presents and a fully decorated tree. To make the rest of the scene I used some of the new gacha purchases I got from the arcade. Love it all! 

The fifth annual Second Life Christmas Expo will be held on December 3 to 14, 2015 and is a mega event that raises funds for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL). 100% of registration fees, sponsorship fees, kiosk donations, hunt, raffle, auction, and vendor donation items are paid to Relay For Life of Second Life. Oh my deer!

Fashiowl Poses just released this adorable deer pose prop with four poses. It'll be available on Dec. 2 at The Frozzen Fair. This pose prop is only 99L$. The set up behind me is a mix of two builds. The first is from M.Law featured at Nov. Tres Chic. I combined it with some pine trees from Skye just to add a little depth. 

I am wearing the updated version of Logo's Alex head which is paired with Lara Hurley's Aria skin. I just love the combination. Logo's new updates include chat emotes & random expressions, now Omega compatible, expression add-on packs, and other bugs fixed. 

I'm wearing a new release from Oleander available at Tannenbaum which is open! The hair comes with removable earmuffs. Tons of colour option available for the muffs as well. It's Beginning to Look...

First of all... let's get you into the "mood". Here's a little ♫tuneage♫ for you... now that you have that playing you can imagine the mood I was in while I decorated this little scene. For me... the winter season is the most difficult because I'm away from my native country, and most importantly my family. I take a great deal of comfort spending time with friends in SL and well... decorating during this holiday season. For me, if I can make my pixel home feel like Christmas then I've done it right. I held off of snapping this pic for a bit because I really wanted to go visit Tannenbaum which opened today. Ton and tons and TONS of winter goodies. Not just deco stuff either, there are hairstyles, shoes, and clothes available. They also have a tree lot and gacha ornaments available.

Also opened is Lost & Found for it's third round. The vintage living room set from DaD Design caught my eye. The set comes with three different colour options and I couldn't resist using the red/green. Lost & Found is open from Nov. 22 - Dec. 1st.

Fiasco has also come out with some many cute things for Christmas. The candy cane box, the ornament box, and the count down box are all from that shop. These pieces are featured at a few different events so I've included the LMs below.

Snow Bunnies on a Lift

Everyone has been loving this lift seat by Chez Moi. I had to wait 'til I could catch a friend online before I could snap a picture. My friend Maxx was willing to pose with me and I'm super grateful. I've included some raw shots of the different poses the lift swing has. It's chalked full of single and couple's poses. In the photograph below I actually used a pose from Focus Poses.

I am crazy about the hair Beusy released at this round of Tres Chic. Both a short and long style are available. I picked up this winter jacket from Gawk. I'm not sure if it's new, but it's mesh and comes in tons of different colours. It'll be great as a piece in my winter wardrobe.

Your Colours Still Leave Me Wanting More

I'm really not ready to say goodbye to autumn yet, even though the weather outside is telling me winter has arrived. I've seen a lot of amazing winter sims prop up on the grid, but I'm also secretly pleased to see fall-themed sims hanging in there. The sim KiLu is just beautiful! It has different areas for photography and this wonderfully decorated house on the top of a hill.

The outfit I'm wearing is brand new from Lazybones available only at this month's round of Tres Chic. This outfit comes in six different colours. I paired it out with another release from the same event. The shoes are called Wednesday platfroms from Livalle. I couldn't resist wearing the new Fri. cozy socks with them. Like Day & Night

I am lovin' these two laces dresses! I've seen a few people wearing them and I think they look fantastic in all colours! The shoes I'm wearing are brand new releases from Essenz called Rio de Janerio and Merida. Both of these are just gorgeous and a must have for all you shoe-addicts out there. The Rio de Janerio (Flower) is a hunt gift which is hidden at the mainstore.

I got together with my friend Kaelyn Alecto to try and snap some winter pictures. We decided we wanted to do something with the ice rink from What Next. After going through a bunch of poses we settled on Lauria's Friends for Life. 

My outfit is all stuff you can get at Tres Chic which opened on Nov. 17. I'm really enjoying this round of Tres Chic as the releases are amazing. This hair/hair is the short version and I hope to be able to show you the longer version soon. The jeans and shirt come together with little booties (not wearing). Isn't the shirt too funny? The skates/shoes are from Azoury and a great find!

In The Moment

I've taken notice that when I go furniture shopping I tend to buy light color furniture. I'd like to say that I have more of a wider range of color palettes but I'm beginning to think I'm scared of dark colored furniture lol! So, when I saw this sofa and table from Fiasco, I thought I'd really put myself out of my comfort zone. While taking the photo I really tried for a long time to catch the light coming in from two different places, and I'm satisfied with how it all came together.

The sofa and coffee table by Fiasco are soon to be released at the Love to Decorate Event on November 12th.

Winter is Calling

I'm really looking forward to the winter season and I'm eager to see what everyone will do with their parcels and their houses. I am just settling into my "winter home" by Culprit, and I was eager to show off some of the styling I've done.

Most of the pieces are part of Goose's new Snowflake gacha available at Nov. Cosmopolitan. The set is a much have for the holiday season and I can see a lot of the pieces being used later into the year as well. A majority of the set is unlinked so you're able to move around bits and pieces to create the coziest of winter hideouts.

A lot of the pieces on the floors and the walls I've collected over time and haven't gotten a chance to use. The newest of which is the white vintage mirror behind the tree. It's from Fiasco and one part of a three part set available only at We Love RP. Just beside the window is another piece I've been looking forward to using. It's the hanging wall branch from [atooly.home]. There are a few different colour options available and I really like that you can re-size this item.

Coffee + Friends = Happiness

Almost everyone with friends on SL knows how difficult it can be to meet up with your friends when you are all are on different time zones. While... my friends and my timezone are no exception. I count it a blessing when I can get some quality time with my friends, as I'm sure you do, too.

This setup was constructed by the wonderful and talented Kaelyn Alecto. I was really excited to get a sneak peak at the Dust Bunny farmhouse that's due out in a few day at the new round of C88. It's a very nice build and will be on my must purchase list.

I've been spotted in this outfit for a few days, but I can't help it as it's become one of my favorites. The jacket is from Aphorism (from the previous Chp. Four) and I love it. The shoes are brand new from Essenz called Baltimore. They're open toe and come in 12 colours. They're available at the Gacha Garden from Nov. 1 - 22nd. There is a special HUD that comes with these shoes after 20 rounds of play. It's called the SOI HUD which will not be available after the event. Annie

A few weeks ago Catwa released her newest mesh head called, "Annie". Annie was a little bit different than her first mesh head as it aimed to be a vampire head. So naturally I wanted to show case it. I took this picture and was really pleased with how it turned out. It was also perfect timing for Halloween.

 

 I was equally excited to hear that Catwa is getting ready to release the Annie head without the vampire teeth. Annie is a great mesh head. Her features are sharp and angular and the way I have my face set up she seems to have a narrow face. There are 9 different emotions on this face and you can see some of them here.

As I've mentioned before I'm a huge face of the eyelashes that are built into the head, as I normally have to wear mesh add-ons. The ones that come with the head offer a few different options and they honestly make the world of difference.

As well, I really wanted to point out how well this Lara Hurley skin compliments the head. I've been a fan of Lara as long as she's been putting out skins, and to be able to wear her skins on my new favorite mesh heads is a big deal. I won't be taking of this skin or head anytime soon. Lara does offer the body appliers for Slink & Maitreya mesh bodies to match this skin. Try out a demo of Christy at Lara's main-store (lm below).

The sweater I'm wearing is the newest release from The Annex which will be available at this month's Chapter Four. The cardi comes in seven different colours. All the cardis have a shirt built in and offer five different shirt colours. You can also turn the shirt off if you prefer.

Season of the Witch

With Halloween looming around the corner it was time that I started to figure out a Halloween costume. I really like this season... I always think it's a hoot to see people get their pixels dressed up and go to endless Halloween themed parties. 

I was really excited to see that Tres Chic offered so many different things that I could use for a Halloween outfit. I decided to go for a classic witch look with the new Kasandra dress from Lakshmi, the Libby Platforms from NX, and the poses from Fashiowl. Making a Call

Socks & Shoes for Fall

I usually do head to toe outfits or a deco set up. I thought I'd mix things up a bit and try going for a focus on what's on my feet. I have always been a huge fan of Darling Monday's Fri.day. Most recently she released the Lydia socks for October's C88. These socks come with an applier HUD that works for Slink Physique, Maitreya Lara and Omega.I like that you also get an option of what top you'd like on your socks. This time I went for tied top, but I'll be putting these socks on again very soon.

Opening on the 20th of this month will be the new round of Shiny Shabby. It runs from the 20th to the 15th of November. At this month's event Essenz's will be releasing this Bratislave shoe. It's available in 12 single colours or fatpacks. It does require Slink or Maitreya high feet. I'm really liking these boots and the options that they come up. They're a perfect shoe for the growing fall wardrobe.

Today I got the chance to wear the new Alex head by LOGO. This is the first time I've worn a LOGO head before and I was quite pleased with it. I had a little hiccup with the skin appliers, and with the help of some people was able to figure out that you need to purchase the OMEGA hud in order to wear third party skins with the head. I then went to visit a few different places that make skins for the head and fell in love with the Alex applier from Izzie's. This skin came in two versions, one with freckles and one without. I went with the freckles as I thought it gave the head a fresh and young look.

The LOGO head comes with a wide range of emotions available. I loved playing around with it. The head even comes with vampire teeth. I've shown some of the emotions in the picture below but there are 12 in total.

The top is a brand new gift from Tres Blah available at the main store with two other goodies.

The hair is the newest released from Catwa and I love the fringe and the way it frames the face. This hair comes in a wide range of colours and is super cute. Make sure you head over to the store for a demo.

On the Bridge to Pandora

I was so excited to get one of the newest releases from The Annex, called Boston Coat. It comes in a wide range of colours and can be paired with jeans, skirts, or tights. It's perfect for the fall wardrobe. It's currently at The Chapter Four so grab the LM below and head over there.

I really want to talk about the new Catwa head. I am so impressed with everything this head has to offer. For the first time... in FOREVER I can wear a head without adding different eyelashes. This might seem trivial, but having really nice lashes is important to me. I plan to do a little review of the lash options soon.

With the Catwa head I'm wearing the Cynthia skin from Deetalez. This isn't the first skin I've bought from there and I'm never disappointed. I really love this shade and it's actually a lighter than I normally wear. Deetalez currently has a bunch of skins released for the Jessica head. Be sure to try them all on to see what you prefer.

Autumn Hues

Home decor pictures are quickly becoming my favourite type of pictures to take. When I am putting together a "scene" sometimes it can take a while or other times (like this one) it can go quite quickly, and then I have a moment where I'm not sure if I'm finished because it seemed too easy. I'm really pleased with all the elements in this photo. The Moonrise Cottage from Scarlet Creative is such an amazing background to work with. I've found a lot of enjoyment decorating this house. The items against the wall, the fairy tree from Atooly & old doors from Ionic started the whole scene. I knew I wanted to use the fairy tree, so I built everything else around it. I was so pleased that I could use more from Kalopsia’s Maple Bed set featured at Sept. Tres Chic. The stand and the chair are both from Cheeky Pea and can be easily tided into another project as they’re super easy and fun to work with. The pieces on the ground are mostly arcade grabs and elements from other sets. I love seeing different pieces come together in a complimentary way. One of the best parts about the Fall season in SL is the boots. I always get excited to see what creators come up for the new season and Fri.day has not disappointed. Just released for this round of Shiny Shabby are the Rosie Boots. I really love these boots and I know they'll be a staple of my autumn wardrobe. 

I am always on the hunt for new poses and I was really excited to pick up the Sophie pack from Fashiowl Poses.
