I was able to go visit The Gacha Garden before it opens on the 1st of Feb. Let me tell you... so many great gacha items. Mostly all of the things in this picture (with the exception of a few things) are up for grabs at this month's round. I am wearing the new lingerie from DeadDollz. It's a RARE but the other outfits are so amazing that'll you will have fun taking a few spins.

The furniture set behind me is all from Fiasco and part of the Sophie set available at TGG. It's super cute and has tons of different items to win. I also used some of the Heart Boxes from Fiasco too. I thought these were super funny. Great for a prop or to use as a gift box.

The skin I'm wearing is from Glam Affair and it's for the LOGO head. I'm using my Alex head with this and I like the combination. Tons of expressions available on the LOGO head!! The hair is from Iconic available at Tres Chic.

Catching feelings is a no, let me tell you how it goes...

The inspiration for this picture / scene started with the new Montana shoes from Essenz. I knew I really wanted to showcase them and this scene came just came about. The shoes are currently at The Season Story, but only until the 31st. So hurry on over there! 

Have you checked out the new bed by Hive? It's called, "Goodnight Bed" and I think it's just lovely. I love the iron posts and headboard. It also allows you to change the textures of all the the sheets and pillows. It's quite charming and a nice addition to any pixel house. I really had a hard time trying to choose witch picture to go with. I wanted to share some of the "outtakes" with you. 

Loving this top from Ison! I might just have to go back for a few more clothes. I've seen some bloggers wear it with a high-waisted skirt and it looks amazing!

Waiting on You

I am in love with these new Fri.day shoes called, "Macey Platforms". They come with a sock add on and I just think they're fabulous! The socks have a HUD to provide four different options. They're currently available at the January round of Uber. They're available in 8 different colours. 

I couldn't resist working a school girl type of outfit with these shoes, especially after I saw Addams's new release. I'm loving this Letterman jacket. I went with blue and paired it up with DeadDollz new VIP gift. You're not part of this group it's worth joining. Lots of goodies.

These Vines Are Creeping Into My Dreams

A new round of Lost & Found opened on January 22nd and will be open until the 1st of February. Featured at this event are a ton of goodies, but the new DaD Design bed caught my eye. This bed is available in three different coloured woods. I'm showing the pickled wood in my picture. As well, this bed comes with a HUD (put it on and click the bed) which gives you tons and tons of different colour options. I liked that you could change the sheets, pillows, blanket, and duvet all separately. It really allows you a lot of different options. 

What I really like about some of these pieces is that they look stunning with a darker windlight. The bed, the star, and shelf all have lights wrapped around them. They look adorable when they're lit up. Atooly has released the star at Wayward Winter and the Charlie Shelf is at Lost & Found.

The chair tucked in the corner is a new release from Brocante (Consignment (Wavie Haller/ValiantCo) & floorplan. (Tegan Serin). It's the matching chair to the sofa currently being sold at Uber. Also from the same brand are the hanging lights I've used. I love the detail in them and especially the little knot half way up the cord. I also used a throw rug from the same store. Tons of great things coming from Brocante, so make sure you take a look at their flickr or join the inworld group.

The Nursery

 

 I have never done a nursery before so what a challenge this project turned out to be. Sadly, I didn't have many children's items so I had to gear the scene towards a more mature nursery. With help from a few friends I found some toys and more childish elements. I'm really excited with how this room turned out and I think it's just really adorable in this build from Apple Fall. 

I was eager to use GOOSE's new pieces available at Tres Chic. They're a family themed package and super cute. The basket & love frame as just two of the pieces available. As well, the crib from Fiasco inspired the whole nursery attempt. All the details are below.

This Half

When I started off trying to take a portrait I wanted to do something unique. Portraits are def not my strength so I tend to avoid them. However, when I saw the new eyes for Suicidal Unborn I knew I had to give it a go. What I love about these eyes is the colour choices you get. It comes with a HUD so that you're able to change each eye colour individually. I really like that.

I've really grown quite fond of Catwa's Annie mesh head. It's my go-to mesh head these days. I especially like it with this Glam Affair skin. Catwa has released a new mesh head called, Gwen which is available at the main store. She has three female heads and one male head available. You're sure to find something that'll fit you.

"Reading a good book is like taking a journey."

I have recently started rereading the last book in the Harry Potter series. It's made me remember just how magical reading a really well written book can be. I came across a picture (unfortunately can't find it for the life of me) that showed a boy reading with books flying around him. It inspired me to create this picture.

Most of the props in this photo are from KEKE, and I think they make a magical setting. The candle cages are from Sway's featured at Jan. Tres Chic.

Rustic Moment

The theme of January's Tres Chic is Rustic Romance and the things that are coming out of it are just beautiful! I am wearing a few goodies from the event and a few other new things from the grid. The hat/hair combo is from Vanity hair. It's available at Tres Chic with another version that only has one pigtail. The shirt & jeans are from Dead Dollz and come in a few different options. The earrings are from Ilaya and also features at Tres Chic.

I've decided to try new eyes and I'm really eager to share them with you. They're from Suicidal Unborn and come in a wide range of colours. What I really like is that the hud allows you to change the eye colour so easily. I have always like having mix-matched eyes and SU's eye hud makes that super easy.

The shoes I'm wearing are from Ezzenz and available at the newest round of Shinny Shabby. I love these shoes. I'm always looking for a nice pair of boots and I feel like these can go with just about anything. They are available in 12 single colours and with fatpacks too. They're for Slink or Maitreya high feet.

Forgot My Pants

It's a running joke among my SL & Flickr friends to tease me about my frequent lack of pants. I've been known to ditch pants a lot. This outfit was no different and caused a few comments from my mates. It was all in good fun. I've seen some other bloggers wear this sweater with jeans or tights and both look fantastic. I'm wearing my BlackRose sweater with the lazy socks from Fri.day. These socks are a must have as they look cute with just about anything. They come in 12 different colours. A new release from Fri.day is the Vega booties which are available at Kustom9.

The sweater I'm wearing comes with the scarf and I haven't been able to take it off for a few days. It's a really adorable outfit. I'm also wearing another Tres Chic release from Boon hair. This hair is gorgeous, and I'm really loving the details.

Cabin in the Woods

I'm not sure about you, but I'm not ready to give up winter. I really love the winter season (especially in SL). I love that you can live in a season all year long if you wanted to. This build is the first by Hive and so impressive. I love its size, textures, and overall design. It has a loft style upper level and lots of room on the main level. It'll be available at Wayward Winter when it opens on the 18th of this month.

When I have more time I'm planning to decorate the inside of the cottage. I'll be sure to share those photos. A lot of the outside accessories are things I've gathered from gachas over the winter. SO many designers have released really adorable animals. I love the birds from Half Deer and the huskies from Xin. A lot of what I've used in this scene is actually from What Next's gacha at Dec. The Arcade.

The newest round of Très Chic will open in a day and this round promises to be just as fantastic as last month's. Icelyn's Bedroom

The Icelyn bed is brand new from Fiasco available at The Season Story. This bed comes with a wood frame and adorable sheets that have a tossed-looked about them. I built my room around the bed and I like that it had an easy vibe about it. The table at the end of the bed was made from two stools and a prim. I used a bunch of little knickknacks as deco! In the background I used the wire-frame balls from GOOSE, a side table, and another new release from Fiasco called Gramophone Dock.

Our Light

I feel like I'm finally beginning to catch up on things I've been wanting to blog. I still have a few post posts to do before I can actually say that with certainty lol. The jacket I'm wearing is by Addams and was released at this month's Fameshed. Everyone was loving it and I can see why. I decided to buy the light brown after talking myself down from a fatpack (never an easy decision lol). The shirt comes with the jacket and has a HUD available so you have tons of different colour options. I paired it up with the Denise leggings from Blueberry and Essenz's Oklahoma boots. These boots were actually on sale last month for The Mix. They're available in many different colours at the mainstore.

My wonderful friend Kae put on her best man-suit and helped me with this photo. I'm really grateful for her help, and she has been such a mentor to me as I started this blog. This picture came about when I randomly saw one of Infinity Pose's marketplace offers. I really liked it, although in my picture I have modified the legs as I wanted to show off my shoes from Essenz called "Sardinia". They're beautiful, right? This Little Heater of Mine

Today, I'm really excited to show you two new released from Fri.day & Fashiowl. The shoes are the newest release from Fri. available at this month's round of Collabor88. They come in 9 colours all with a HUD for the leg warmers. I am wearing the blush colour and I plan to wear these for a little while longer ;)

The pose I'm using comes in this really cute electric heater. The heater comes in 9 different colours and has three poses in each. It's not only a really cute decoration accessory but a fun photo-prop to play with. The prop is available at GEN-Neutral which starts Jan 12! Fashiowl also has a few other props available at the event, so swing by their booth when the event opens. 

The lovely set up behind me was done my BFF Tally. She decorated our little "love shack" and until now I haven't had the chance to snap anything in it. Thanks girl for decorating such a rockin' home!

Ever since I saw that Stockhom jacket at the last round of C88 I really wanted one, but I couldn't decide on a colour... then it was too late to get it. Luckily, it was available at the Pixicat main store for this week's FLF. I couldn't resist! I paired it with the newest release from Essenz called Pennsylvania. I am in love with these boots. They come in 12 single colors and fatpacks. They'll be at Shiny Shabby until the 15th of this month so make sure you hurry over there!

After what seemed like HOURS I managed to get into this month's round of C88. I am wearing the Lia skin by Glam Affair on Catwa's Annie head. This skin & head combination is just gorgeous. Grab a demo and test it out on Catwa's other heads. ;)

My Tea Room

It's my first blog post of 2016! I just want to start by wishing my readers a Happy New Year! I hope this year is another fantastic year for all of you.

Like most people I have been super busy and sadly have fallen behind on some blogging that I've been meaning to do. As you know, I LOVE interior decorating. I do not profess to be amazing at it, but it is def one of my hobbies.

Fiasco released Athene Dining Set at the most recent LTD event. I really love this set and I wanted to show it off as an alternative to your average dining space... and thus I decided to make a tea room, or breakfast nook. I desperately wanted bench seating as I like the way it looks in RL settings. I struggled with the position of the sofa and it wasn't until a good friend of mine suggested during it on an angle did I finally feel like it all came together nicely. Just to warn you the the sofa I used isn't a sectional... it's two pieces that I've attempted to fit together... if you look closely, it's not perfect. I also modified the pillows on the sofa and added in a few from MudHoney.

Let's talk about some of the pieces I've used. I was really excited about the table with candles which is a recent release by Atooly available at January round of TLC. The table comes in silver and gold. I love that it has different coloured candles and varying lengths and it's a really adorable piece for any room. I am also doting on the Nordica vases from Ariskea. They're just beautiful. They can be found at the Fameshed this month.
